I don't know if this was the best image to use as I honestly still don't have a full understanding of the whole concept of semiotics, but hopefully we shall go over it during the next few lectures. I have read through the 'Semiotics for Beginners' website and Stewart's power point slides that have been provided, but I am still completely lost, so I will read again and hopefully get some help!
Denotation: A large, sunburnt woman, lying down on a towel, with sun protection goggles on.
Connotation: This suggests woman who clearly loves to sunbathe, which you can tell by her sunburnt and leather looking skin,
Myth: Her chunky gold 'bling' jewellery may suggest she is working class and not of great wealth
